Sabine Bendias
Sabine Bendias advises and represents clients on all product-specific issues relating to advertising, marketability, approval and labeling that may arise in connection with the development, production and marketing of foodstuffs, cosmetic products, biocides and remedies as well as other consumer goods. In addition, she has extensive knowledge of e-commerce and contract drafting.
From 2017 to 2020, she worked as a lawyer in a Munich-based commercial law firm in the area of food law and general civil law. Prior to that, she worked for almost five years in a cross-industry trade association where, after gaining initial experience in the food and health industry, she provided advice and legal advice to the beverage industry. Her expertise covers not only the labeling and presentation of foodstuffs in conformity with competition law, but also the legally compliant creation of homepages, advertising or sales promotion measures, as well as questions of distance selling in conformity with European law, including direct marketing measures.
Sabine Bendias studied law at the Julius-Maximilian-University of Würzburg, Germany, with accompanying European studies (Europajurist Univ. Würzburg). She was admitted to the bar in 2017.
Sabine Bendias has a proven track record of lectures, particularly on general food law and food online retailing. In addition, she has published articles on food law, online retailing and sales promotion measures in trade, chamber of commerce and industry journals.
